All our courses are accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and taught by industry experts. Skills Ignite has the highest possible quality rating from NZQA.
We are a Category 1 provider – rated Highly Confident in Educational delivery and Highly Confident in Self Assessment of our programmes and programme delivery. That means that you are in good hands when you study with Skills Ignite.

Code of Practice
Code of Practice
Students studying in New Zealand are protected and supported by The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2024 (The Code).
The Code specifies the roles and responsibilities of education providers in ensuring learner wellbeing and achievement. Skills Ignite is a signatory to The Code, and we try our best to ensure our students are learning in a safe and welcoming environment. we have conducted self-reviews on how well we are practicing the Code on a regular basis, you can refer to the latest report here.

It’s our goal to offer equitable and inclusive services to all learners and provide an opportunity for disabled learners to access and participate in education and training that accommodates their different needs. Student Services Fee
Student services fee
The student services fee for 2024 has been set at $200 (GST Inclusive) per full-time student for study less than 120 credits. Study of over 120 credits is set at $400 (GST inclusive). The fee funds key services for students to assist their success, retention and overall well-being while studying at Skills Ignite. SSF is compulsory for provider-based intramural enrolments, and optional for other types of learner situations, such as work-based trainees, or those studying extramurally. Learn more.

Fees Free
The Government has announced that Fees Free for the first year of study or training will finish at the end of 2024. A final-year Fees Free policy will replace it, starting from 1 January 2025.
If you are a first-time tertiary learner in 2025, you may be able to get Fees Free for your final year of study or training. If you are eligible, you will need to apply for your entitlement through IRD from 2026 onwards.
