  • Support the management of a project(s) under broad guidance, in accordance with ngā kaupapa o te Tiriti o Waitangi (the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi), and in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Support a project(s) through its life cycle through the selection and application of project management knowledge, tools and techniques.

The assessment method is a three-step process;

Step 1: Self-Assessment Workbook

Complete a self-assessment workbook providing evidence of project initiation.
Verification by a senior project member is required.
Once verified, the assessor contacts the verifier for more information.
Upon approval, the learner starts compiling evidence into a portfolio for review.

Step 2: Portfolio Submission and Review

Submit the portfolio for the assessor's review.
The assessor evaluates the submitted evidence.
An assessment discussion or a project site visit (if applicable) is scheduled.

Step 3: Assessment Discussion

Engage in an informal conversation with the assessor about the project.
Provide any additional information needed to complete the evidence.
The assessment discussion finalises the review process.

After successfully completing the Self-Assessment, learners must meet the following requirements:

Timeline: 7 months to complete the qualification.
Verification: The learner's manager will confirm the work completed on the project.
Eligibility: Learner must be a Project Manager or part of a project team.
